So I started work on the door to our hoop house the other
day (finally). I’ve made it out of straw
hay, garden fencing, two by fours, and some missing hinges. Here is a picture of it as I was adding the
hay to the interior of door.
Basically we are sandwiching the hay in between two layers
of fencing, the two by fours are mainly for support, and so we can add the
hinges so it will swing open. So I got the door finished and with a little tweaking
I got it to fit in the space, I then realized that I didn’t have the
hinges. I couldn’t find them in the
house, or in the studio, those are the only two places I usually put things
that I need. So I asked Keturah and she
couldn’t find them either. So here we
are three days later, I finally get back into my truck (I’d been taking Keturah’s
car to work) to go to work and what do I see sitting in the center console…two
new hinges. Apparently I never brought
them into the house in the first place…oh well.
When it finally stops raining here I will get out there and put the
hinges on our door, and we will have a functioning hoop house!!
Oh, before I get going here is a sneak peek at the new work
I told you about in the last few posts.
I’ve got them all finished and photographed so here is a little taste, I
will write a full blog later explaining what they are all about. Enjoy.
